My 30-Day Protective Styling Regimen…You Want In?

screen-shot-2016-09-21-at-4-13-03-pm

Hello, ladies! School is in and it’s time for my mane to go into hibernation. I’m trying to get some growth and minimize breakage for a bit. So I’m twisting up the back of my head and only leaving a bit out in the front so I can rock these gas-gee-ous clip ins from Curl Sistas. It’s the “Adeze,” 4a-4c, 16 inches. It fits my hair texture almost perfectly.

Isn’t it pretty? It’s very low maintenance and the installation is a breeze.

When I’m not going out and about I wear a cute scarf or a slap cap. Here’s how I’m keeping my hair protected for until about October 21.

I’ll treat my hair once a week using this clay mask recipe that left my hair feeling clean, moisturized, and detangled. Best of all, you can create it at home with items you might already have around your house!

Some items I’m using..

Hair Growth Botanical Renovation Anti-hair Loss Hair Oil Scalp Treatment, $35: I would love this stuff just for the yummy smell, but it’s more than just a pretty scent.

Check out the ingredients:
Perilla Seed Oil, Rosehip Oil, Saw Palmetto Oil, Argan Oil, Copaiba Oil, Rosemary Essential Oil, Peppermint Essential Oil, Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol), Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil, Lemongrass Essential Oil, Provitamin B-5 (d-panthenol), Carrot Seed Essential Oil, Clove Bud Essential Oil, Candelilla Wax, Vitamin A (retinyl palmitate), Nutmeg Essential Oil

Indian Healing Clay, $14: This is the base product I’m using for my conditioning and detoxifying clay mask.

Pure Ungurahua Oil – Hair and Scalp Treatment, $27
This is an AMAZING oil you probably haven’t heard of, and that’s a real shame. Ungurahua oil, harvested in Brazil, has a faint, pleasant coffee smell. The molecules are small enough to penetrate the scalp and hair shaft, and strengthens, moisturizes and assists with detangling. I absolutely swear by it. I discovered Ungurahua oil when researching a high-end hair care line, Ruhua, that boasts the ingredient as the cornerstone of the line. The markup of the pure ungurahua oil on the site is an astronomical $175! I decided to do some investigating and got the pure, unrefined version of the oil for the price above.

Here’s to some good, healthy hair growth in the next month!
