The red carpet extravaganza was two weeks ago. However, the looks presented on it are still impacting our SS 2013 wardrobe. Are the fresh faced looks and brightly colored lips a hint of what is to come in the Spring? I think so. Jessica Chastain (yes black women can adapt this look as well as Anne Hathaway’s), Anne Hathaway, Naomie Harris, Kelly Rowland and Kerry Washington are pointing the way to some amazing beauty trends this season.

Love Kelly's smoky eyes and Jessica's lipstick. Time for a make-up run to update my stash...
Naomi, Kerry, and Jessica's make up looks good. Its clean, fresh, and not to dramatic. I like makeup that focus on the eyes and lips. No blush, and creamy foundation. I like for my skin to breathe.
I like Kelly's "smokey" eyes but not the bright pink lipstick.
Thank you! Am still learning how to use makeup so it's cool to see the different looks you can create :)
Well, Thank you for the tips. I have been spending a lot of time at beauty trend shows for a while and trying to learn the latest techniques.
Thanks for a great and well researched piece. I really appreciate how specific you've been with both the looks and the products. Additionally, I love that you have avoided the beauty trap of having the obligatory black women only beauty idols.
Kerry and Jessica's looks were everything!
I really like Naomie's make-up!
Thanks for the post. :) Great looks worth emulating.
Oooo la la. Make up. My aphrodisiac!
Tanisa you do a wonderful job of introducing fashion and make-up trends to the site. I use Mac's Taupe matte lipstick for that "barely there make up" look, and my lips never look dry or ashy.
not to be a perv... but you can see Anne's nipples through her dress. /o/
