Whew lawd, I thought I was busy. But Dee Dee Russell’s upcoming projects are putting me to shame! While most film makers toil and wring their hands over only one film at a time, Dee Dee is working on six, and is feverishly raising money to make it happen. If everything goes her way, on April 25, 2012 she’ll have the budget to make her six feature length documentary films a reality…and will have made Internet history along the way. The campaign is named, “69 For Six,” and appeal to 69 celebrities with 69 different pledge drive videos

Hmmm…what’s the significance of “69,” my dear Dee Dee? Perhaps it has something to do with her project about the “Scarlet Harlot” a documentary about founder of the “sex workers” movement. Here’s a sneak peek:
And for all you Diana Ross fans, Dee Dee’s got that one covered with her project, “Happy Dark Girls,” a documentary that addresses colorism.
