Have You Checked Out Campbell’s “Wisest Kid in the World?”

You gotta love have companies have really embraced social media to interact with their customers. And one of the most creative I seen so far is the Campbell’s “Wisest Kid in the World” widget, in which you can upload a wise saying you’ve heard from your kid and add it so the slew of other stuff kids have said. Since I think what my kids say is sometimes hilarious, I jumped at the chance to share.

I remember once (out of hundreds of times) Clo Clo was being sassy. She was about two. I told her, “Chloe, watch your mouth!” She replied, “I can’t watch my mouth, because I can’t see it!!” Can you imagine? I almost wrecked the car I laughed so hard, and she just gave me this quizzical look because she didn’t see anything funny at all about that bit of logic she just dropped on me. So of course my submission to the Wisest Kid in the World Was, “Don’t ask a kid to watch her mouth. Impossible.”

A close second was The Babster, who tends to speak louder as she gets sleepier. I told her once on one especially annoying bullhorn session to stop yelling and she says, “I not yelling, I screaming!” #dead

But there’s more to the Campbell’s “Wisest Kid” site than a fun way to procrastinate before you send that project update to your co-workers. There’s all sorts of creative recipes so that when you get home you’ll actually have a few good ideas on what to cook for dinner.

Here’s a recipe I snagged from the site that I’m going to try this week, because The Hubster lurves him some Keilbasa.

Slow Cooker Kielbasa with Apples, Onions and Sauerkraut Recipe

What You’ll Need

2 pounds kielbasa (beef or turkey), cut into 2-inch-long pieces
1 package (about 16 ounces) sauerkraut, drained
2 cans (10 3/4 ounces each) Campbell’s® Condensed French Onion Soup
3 medium apples, peeled and cut into quarters
1 cup water or white wine
2 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard

How to Make It

  • 1Stir the kielbasa, sauerkraut, soup, apples, water and mustard in a 6-quart slow cooker.
  • 2Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours or until the apples are tender.

Recipe Tips

  • Serving Suggestion: This dish is delicious served over hot mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
