CS Lewis is my favorite Christian author. I think he does a great job of tying together abstract supernatural elements, based on his dabbling, with a practical theological Christian perspective (like the Screwtape Letters). I really, really enjoy his Space Trilogy. I've hesitated on exposing my younger relatives to his work for children, I feel like there's too much with all of the magic that I have to explain and put in perspective. Glad you are enjoying the series though!

There are several that I felt comfortable sharing with my children when they were 7 and nieces and nephews too. You may still have to explain some things, but the books do spark imagination and adventure. Just be ready to explain some of the acts that may be disturbing. My family enjoyed them all.
