Donald Trump Presidency Bid Supported by Klu Klux Klan

Essence, Ebony and Snopes reported today that a man identified as the Imperial Wizard of the Rebel Brigade Knights of the Klu Klux Klan has officially endorsed Donald Trump for president. Now to be fair, candidates really have no control over which groups endorse them, unless they make an effort to actively lobby for such support. And…I really doubt that the Trump folks really want that kind of heat. If anything, it shows the lack of critical thinking skills the KKK has, because if they really wanted Trump to be president, they would have kept mum on their nod of approval.

But this, coupled with the racists who were so vocal about how miscegenation is being glorified by Old Navy wearing Trump “Make America Great Again,” this is PR the Trump crew probably wish would die in tomorrow’s news cycle.

From Essence:

While doing an interview with NBC 12news correspondent Chris Thomas (who ironically, is Black), the proud KKK leader aligned the historically racist and hate-driven organization with Trump, explicitly stating: “The reason a lot of Klan members like Donald Trump is because a lot of what he believes in, we believe in.”

We couldn’t make this up if we tried, folks.
The news should come a surprise to few as Trump also made headlines back in February when he received public support from former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke. Duke described Trump as “the best candidate of a really horrible lot of them” in a post on his personal Facebook page before detailing a list of things he believes the next President should be able to accomplish, including “ensuring that White Americans are allowed to preserve and promote their heritage and their interests.”

When questioned about his affiliation with David Duke or the KKK shortly after during an appearance on CNN’s State Of The Union, Trump gave the peculiar response that he “knew nothing” of David Duke or white supremacy and refused to speak specifically on Duke’s comments on the basis of his alleged lack of knowledge about Duke’s identity. He later said his failure to disavow Duke or publicly distance himself from the KKK when questioned on CNN was due to a malfunctioning ear piece that made it difficult to hear what was being asked of him. Right.

*Please made note that I’m simply reporting the news. Personally, I’m not excited about Trump, and even less excited about Hillary. I think I just might sit this one out.*
