You know what my favorite yoga pose is?

Corpse.

A close second?

Child’s pose.

Anything else is shockingly intensive. Like the chair pose. When you hear it, you might think, “GREAT! Exercises from my Easy Chair!”

Nuh uh.

Next week we’re going to do a variation of this pose with some twist action. For more on chair pose and yoga basics, go to Yoga Journal.

I am assuming that you all have been keeping up with the medical issues (potential stroke) of hyper neck extension when practicing Yoga?

Keeping in mind that I prefer bicycling, rowing and swinging a 4' longsword (not kidding!).

Thanks for this. I'd been doing weight training lately, but I haven't done as much yoga as I want to out of a couple of key poses. I have to add this into my routine.

LOL! Corpse is my favorite as well but it's probably everyone's favorite if they've done yoga. Chair used to be my least favorite but I've gotten past it now. Because I have sinus issues (never had allergies until I moved to Virginia), my least fave is Downward Dog. I don't mind a breeze through DD but when my instructor leaves us there, pedaling our feet, I just hate it.
