Saw this on my Facebook timeline and just couldn’t resist.
Learn how
to Swirl
How to date, mate and relate. Mixing race, culture and creed.
Something seems 'wrong' with this picture: how come the girls are dressed alike but the guys arent. Is the BM overdressed in lilac or is the white guy underdressed. I also know that suits in urban areas on WM/AM says 'money' and is against the 'media template' of them with a BW--since BW are supposed to get the nonbm that are 'broke' etc.(i'm not against IRR of either side but i just believe H'wood has an agenda)
zipporah Hmm. I'm not sure what it means. But the suit does make me wonder.. why weren't they dressed alike too? Maybe when a rich BM dates a reguar white woman it's a plus. But when a regular WM dates a regular BW it's bad. Is that his take on swirling hypocrisy?
zipporah I noticed that too. But I figured that it was a right better than some other cartoons that have be out there lately.
Soo can I put this on my tumblr?
Pearl Rose LoL! You should! What's your tumblr? I'd love to snoop :P

blackpanthershay Aww I hope you like it!
Pearl Rose I do....now to figure out how to add, follow whatever it is you do in tumblr lol
VintageNarcissa Vintage I could only see one page
blackpanthershay Hey Shay, sorry about that. I literally just changed the name of my blog, lol. It's http://finnsfood.tumblr.com/ now
blackpanthershay I've got two versions of macaroni pie on my blog. There's one that is made with beans and one that's made with vegan cheese. The more recent post is the one made with vegan cheese. I just adapted my old baked macaroni recipe to all vegan ingredients. The other recipe I found on youtube. Google 'The Sweetest Vegan' and check out her youtube page. She's also a black vegan :D Both recipes are good, but I prefer my own :P It's just more like macaroni and "cheese."
blackpanthershay The first time I used it someone asked me to follow them and I just went created one and left it at that. And then one day I said "I have a tumblr account, I should go use it" and then I learned about it and I started using it. Now I can't stop using it!
blackpanthershay Oh yeah, I'm catching up on PLL today. I'll get back to you on that. You should give me your contact info so we're not clouding up BBW with our PPL chat. If you have g-chat my email is depiscean1@gmail.com. Or maybe skype, I'm also vintagenarcissa.
VintageNarcissa Vintage are you West Indian?(if you don't mind me asking)
We always say macaronie pie lol
VintageNarcissa do you facebook as well?
blackpanthershay Yeah, you can friend me at Finn Therese - I go by many names. lol
blackpanthershay Yeah. My mother is Guyanese. She always says macaroni pie. I say macaroni pie, baked macaroni and mac(aroni) and cheese interchangeably. LOL!
VintageNarcissa Ah yes!! Macaroni pie is the best!!!!
VintageNarcissa I sent a friend request!
justhonest216 LoL! Well we really don't know what to tell you. We're all pretty attractive ladies over here ^.^
OT, I know. So, is Lonnie Millsap no longer a contributor? He has a wonderful kind of 'Far Side' take on things. Is his book out yet?
Law Wanxi New clips of Lonnie's work start again next Friday. As for his new book--not sure if it's out yet.
See, that's when my BF would start doing his "haters gonna hate" dance, lol.
Lol at habari gani!!!
thats the situation majority of the time smh lol, but hey that's their insecurities seeping through
OHH GUCH!! everyone knows that!!! LOL...they just have to stop their poor reasons for thinking so in particularly the men, talking about "slave rape master". Last time I checked we are in 2012 and when you look in the prison there are rapist of all shades of color!!!
Why don't they say they ENVY!!! and cut with that nonsense!
nyaw The thing that bothers me the most is that although the BM yelling "traitor" may be envious, the BC approves of this double standard AND it keeps a good many BW from crossing the color line. The name calling works its poison into a BW's mind.
FriendsofJay nyaw "the BC approves of this double standard AND it keeps a good many BW from crossing the color line. The name calling works its poison into a BW's mind."
This is so true. Thats why I was so grateful when I came across BWE blogs a couple of years ago. They were able to put into words how I felt. I've learned so much from this community. I have become a student.
mahogany nyaw Yes. It wasn't until I started reading BWE blogs that I realized so many perspectives on the BC. It was quite an education.
LOL! That about says it all!
Love it! Unlike the tasteless Kevin what's his name cartoon this message wasn't put out to degrade the hypricrates while proving a point. The BM/WW couple were dressed appropriately, the double standard brother didn't look like Ray -Ray or some common thug or dressed like a bum. I love that the black girl had a white/asian/multi-racial boyfriend and they both were matching in the casual wear very young hip and modern.
mdiva2002 What's especially funny, now that I notice, is that both couples look alike. The men have the same body shape and the women are pretty much identical save for skin and hair. Both couples are sensibly dressed and minding their own business.
So it is clearly possible to point out hypocrisy without denigrating one IR couple or another. And the only person looking foolish is the hypocrite. And that's the way it should be.
mdiva2002 I can definitely appreciate that about this cartoon. I saw that other cartoon you mentioned, it really ground my gears that aside from the attitude the black woman portrayed, she was also drawn bigger than the other women.
Toni_M
OMG you know DBSK Cool! Yunho , Junsu and Mickey bias here. Lol :-)
Hallyu Love I can't talk about them because the pain of the break-up is still a sore subject. T.T But I do adore Yunho. He is like an absolute sweetheart.
Toni_M
Aww. I hear you I wasn't a fan until last year when I discovered JYJ and then DBSK so the break up didn't affect me like it did longtime fans.
I was dying at "Habari gani"
True.
justhonest216 "I''m trying figure out why this site only gets on the men and not the women?"
Well the difficulty you may be having is that this space is (1) geared towards IRR-minded black women first and foremost and (2) no, we don't encourage this double-standard in black women. I certainly don't.
If anything, I think black women in these spaces are encouraged to not worry about other people's business, because it's petty to be fixated on people who have nothing to do with you. If some black man is with a woman, ANY woman of any racial persuasions for all the wrong reasons, that's his business. Just the same, if he is, like you said, with someone he loves and is happy, good for them. Still none of their business.
The pining and anger at BM dating out just doesn't exist here. O_o The anger is at the double standard, which works against BW at a greater rate. Besides, as I said, this site is geared towards black women who are largely not interested in dating black men, certainly not exclusively. Why would the women here be upset about who black men are dating?
justhonest216 If you're looking for black women who have issues with black men dating non-black women, you're definitely in the wrong space. Maybe try Essence, Clutch or Madame Noir?
Not trying to be sarcastic or anything. This is not about "getting" on anyone, it's a simple cartoon point out something that is a reality for many of us. As for black women who do have issues with black men dating non-black women, there's nothing we can do about them because they often have issues with us and the non-black men that we date as well.
So as I said, if you really want to call someone out, you may want find those other sites.
VintageNarcissa justhonest216
You named the right places for him. Anyway he's off topic. This is a BW's experience. He could have been enlightening and at the very last Healing about OUR experience instead of pointing the finger back at us!
Rosethorn justhonest216 Seriously. I don't know why people think that we don't require, or deserve the same support in our relationships. With the amount of black women not married and having kids out of wedlock, those of us who are married, engaged or in stable, monogamous relationships should be celebrated, regardless of the color of out partner's skin. When a black woman is single it's these same people saying "where's your man?" or "xyz is why you don't have a man." But when we are in good relationships, everyone seems to have a problem with it, including the black men interracial relationships. I can tell several stories of dirty looks, dirty comments and showing off by bm/ww couples when me and my boyfriend are in the vicinity and so can many of the women here. It would be very nice if we got the same treatment that we give IR couples opposite to us when we're out and about. But we often don't. This is why we have our own space where we can discuss issues that are unique to us, and we shouldn't have to deal with outsiders trying to make is accountable for niceties when no one is accountable for niceties toward us.
justhonest216 No, it's just a comment on hypocrisy at work. The attack is on the guy who's delighted to see a black guy with a white girl, but sees a black girl with a white guy as an act of treason.
The attitude should be, regardless of the ethnicities of any couple: "Those two of whatever ethnicity are a happy couple. I hope they're happy, good luck to them, and please don't text while driving."
This comic is hilarious and so true!
