What of zen meditation ... Zen gardens ... Zen swordmanship?

And one more thing...spirituality is not about the material STUFF!

All ya gotta be is a white woman....sheesh! I study Vipasana meditation, or, mindfulness meditation which is a way of life, that requires a deep inner work. I've studied it with Jack Kornfield, who is a Buddhist Monk trained in Thailand and who is also a licensed clinical therapist who is based here Bay Area and in Boston This chick is just trying
to make a buck. She has a couple of good points, but she is no "guru" whatsoever! Her so-called meditations to try to get a relationship, is frivolous and offensive to those of us who take this work seriously and make it a way of life.

+1.

I kind of had her Blonde BMI under 18 self figured as 'not a real guru' when I ran out of fingers, toes and beads on the abacus trying to count the times she said I, Me and My in the first two minutes.

Law Wanxicandielady357 As a former speech/communication scientist, I've known speech therapists in that category:

"I'm the professional ... I know ... I'm degreed ... I'm experienced ... I'm a WOMYN ... I ... I ... me ... me" ... onward into ad infinitum.

Then turn around and bill for a full evaluation AND an hour's worth of therapy.

Sheesh!

Medidating may have some sense to it. These seem like universal recommendations. I like what she said let go and forgive. Strength!x

IDK, I think there's something to this. I've used meditation and pranayama breathing to get my blood pressure down (in addition to diet and exercise) and I feel great afterward. Some people have told me I have a glow about me and want to know how I do it. Meditation and breathing. I wouldn't discount it. I would love to have a "Zen den" in my house!

re: 'quarter-life crisis.'..wow I think I had one of those too. I dove into Orthodox Judaism w/ a segue into Buddhism, quelle surprise. lolz

ForestElfQueen No go on the accupressure/prana mat thing-y for me either. I'm chicken.

ForestElfQueen Lol...I thought the same thing...very Mid Cali to SoCali -ish . My mother has a friend like her that is very much into zen and spirituality who is quite awesome. She actually is a Canadian film director or the likes but lives out here in SoCal. That woman is happy and quite free spirited. The spirit in her house felt very free too.
