Ugh, gag me with a spoon, fork and cattle prod. NBC’s new season of Fear Factor has contestants DRINKING donkey pee and semen. Apparently the execs are a bit squeamish about airing this disgusting and vile display, but this latest bit of kaa-kaa encapulates what’s wrong with the world.
I just…I can’t. Please lawd, if they show it, don’t let it be a black woman drinking it. Please…
Naive 17 year old fresh out of high school and just graduated from bootcamp. Hauled down to Tijuana (TJ) for a weekend of debauchery (back when you could still hide out over night in TJ and not get caught by shore patrol) was dragged to a "donkey show"....
Could never watch Mr Ed the same way again.
Fast forward 2-years and I'm on a North Atlantic cruise, hitting Kiel Germany, Zeebrugge Belgium and other western European ports and let me tell you... the donkey show in TJ got nothing on the spaced out crap going on in regular bars. I wont repeat them here, but if I hadn't seen it for myself I would call you a liar if you described what passes for adult entertainment over there.
Unfortunately, this Fear Factor stuff pales in comparison to that. Hope it never makes it to cable. I'd hate some kid to see that and think drinking a pitcher of animal semen was a viable career choice.

Between me and my husband, we've seen some jacked-up stuff that we can't even talk about except with each other (not that we do). People would never believe it if I told them. There's some nasty stuff in the world that people can't even fathom. Trust me on this.

Law Wanxi As I have mentioned in other threads, I went to an Ag school with a big Veterinary program (at the time I went, it was the number two vet school behind Vanderbilt). I saw several things (which I hope never to see again) because I was bored and my roommate, a farmer's daughter, thought these things were "entertainment". I have seen semen collection from bulls, artificial insemination of cows and bull castration; let me tell you, that castration thing put me off Rocky Mountain oysters forever. And you are right. The bull doesn't get a copy of Rustler; he gets a whiff of "artificial cow in heat" pheromones.

Wow, the show has hit a new low with this one. I didn't even realize this show was still on. I used to watch it years ago, but thought it had been canceled. Oh, ok, I just read that they revived the show in 2011.

Just reading it was enough, I could not watch it one bit. And I thought fear factor other seasons were bad with the boiled cow testicles and brains. This sounds completely repulsive and just too beastial for my delicate sensibilities. I feel as though they are exploiting these ppl, how do you live with yourself after doing something like this? I wouldn't be surprised if someone eventually commits suicide.

I should say greed and desperation*. Because I know of less disgusting ways to "face your fear" and do it for free, so money is clearly the aim.
This show always bothered me because I feel like they're not understanding what fear actually is. In some cases, it really is inhibiting. But then there are situations where it is a very rational emotion. Also, I think disgust and being appalled by the idea of certain activities isn't quite the same as just being afraid. These are rational emotions tied to a survival instinct that says, "Yeah, you can't just go around putting random substances in your mouth/digestive system. It can kill you." And that's fine.
I just don't see this show as necessary or fun. It pretty much is blatant exploitation of a person's greed.
It's impossible to take back things that we see; like the picture of the donkey pee and semen. Just knowing what it is is bad enough. Would you consider distorting those images for those that are very squeamish?
I saw that over at Sandra Rose and almost threw up; I can still barely stand to look at that picture without feeling the urge to hurl.
It's so disgusting that people would consume that stuff for money unless they had a gun pointed to their heads or unless the alternative was watching someone they love get hurt.
(And before anyone makes any crazy comment about people performing oral sex on each other, let me tell you right now that drinking donkey urine/semen in not even in the same category as one adult performing oral sex on another adult--so don't test my patience by suggesting this.)
