Beauty Hacks for Perfect Red Lips

unnamed-1

Hack 1: Fill in First with Lip Liner

Think of Lip liner as your primer for your lipstick. Take a lipliner in the same shade and outline your lips and then fill in your lips with the pencil. It will provide a barrier to prevent the lipstick from feathering or bleeding outside your lip line.

Hack 2: Use Translucent Powder

For even more long wearing  action swipe on your lipstick and hold a tissue over your mouth and then dust on translucent powder over the tissue. This locks in the color.

Hack 3: Blot the Right Way

Another long wearing technique is blotting between applying your lip color. This removes excess oil on the lips from the first application and the second application grips to the lips better.

Pick the Right Shade

If you are fair use a blue-based red. If you are olive go for an orange-red. If you are darker go for a burgundy red. This is a good starter base for beginners!
