Learn how
to Swirl
How to date, mate and relate. Mixing race, culture and creed.
I don’t graduate until May and, if you ask some people, I’m already thinking in a bourgeois fashion: I would hesitate to date a man without a college degree.
I’m thoroughly demoralized with dating both (IR and otherwise). I have never meet a normal, quality person online. I think you’re better off meeting someone on the train, bus, or supermarket.

The Washington Post just published a very in-ter-est-ing feature based on a survey just released by the Kaiser Foundation dedicated to the study of you guessed it–us. What are we, lab monkeys? We’re “studied” and stuff?
“A nice thing about swirling at my age is I don’t often have to worry about his mom or dad and what they think. He is usually living his own life and he doesn’t need the approval of his parents.”
“We danced. He knew how to work it the floor. My friends were very impressed with his hip -hop dance style and rhythm. A few songs later he slowly got closer . And closer. He whispered in my ear, “You are so beautiful and you have beautiful skin.” I thanked him with a flirty smile. We sat down.” And then…
If you haven’t heard of Matthew Hussey, you’re at the very LEAST missing out on some eye candy.
Okay guys. This question is from one of our OWN–she’s been with us for over a year, so let’s burn some extra brain cells to help her deal with this.
The most successful populations in America at Black/White interaction are adolescents and young adults. Our current black and white youth are connecting, befriending and romancing each other across the color line. But theirs has not been a story of overcoming differences and dealing with shared history. In fact, our youngest people usually aggressively deny that there are any differences, or any history to be interested in.
Seems the hawtness-shelf life is being extended. How’s that translate to dating and mating?
I’m taking a break from my usually schedule hair posts to write a bit about love and culture. Yeah, I like to touch on the relationship stuff too!
So yesterday, I came across an interesting article in my Facebook Newsfeed about Robin Thicke. Actually, I just came across his picture and immediately clicked on it to get a closer look at him in all his glorious sexiness. Gosh I love me some Robin Thicke… even back in his long hair hippie days.
Now in this Essence magazine article Robin gushed about his wife of 18 years, Paula Payton and how he loves giving her multiple orgasms (I hate her, lol). He also took the time to make some interesting comments about Black women, relationships, and finding a “good Black man.”
