It wasn’t the movie from the 80s that made pink famous but the pre-love child of the 60s is making a comeback in all its various shades. Which pink shows off your varied personalities?

Its one of the classic colors of all time, making its debut in the early 60s and engraving itself on the hearts of beauty lovers everywhere. Pink, the youthful, girlie twin of red is making a massive comeback this Spring/Summer. From Bubblegum pinks to fuchsia, here are a few ways to wear it.

Love pink!! <3 Gosh, I'm such a girly girl! =D There's a lipstick I bought from "Wet n Wild" called "Don't Blink Pink". Tried it on and love the boldness of it. lol! XD

It's the same one used in the beginning of this tutorial video here (ohhh loving the purple hair as well):

Ok Picked up China Glaze Exceptionally Gifted to day for my refill on Wed.  It is just the prettiest shade of pink ever.

What was nice was the sale woman let me try before I bought.

She put a peice of tape over my nail and painted that so  I could see the shade against my skin.

I love pink!  I've been wearing a light, shimmery pink nail polish since Spring!

I love it! Pinks are my favorite. I saw this post just as I was about to paint my nails OPI Otherwise Engaged (a sheer pink). I always wear some shade of pink polish, but my all time favorite is OPI Not so Bora Bora-ing Pink. This post makes me want to use Avon Country Rose lipstick again (that coral-y pink is as pink as I can go on the lips)!

I wish I could wear pinks but w/ my undertones I have to go w/apricots etc.

That really dark pink polish(gold cap) looks gorgeous!

Elfe you can wear pink. follow the instructions I gave for picking out reds... you must try it out :-)

Shulamit  I get with reds you have blue-reds, true-reds, some brownishand orangey-reds but with pinks i'm muddled. Also the amount of white in most pink cosmetics and clothing throws me. I can't do pastels or most midtones because of my darkness so I assume that the Dark Autumn (NC 44-45 MAC w/black hair, dark brown eyes) equiv for a 'pink' would be a deep apricot? ... This carpet swatch is labelled 'warm pink'

...like I love the intensity of hot pink/fuschia but it kills me.. so i go to oranges for a similar feeling?

Shulamit  I'm gonna have another look at your reds post too.

Elfe stick with blue toned pinks! :-)

Thanks for posting this.  I had a mani/pedi yesterday and had my toes painted a nice hot pink but I've been trying to find a lighter pink that actually covers the toenail without multiple coats.  I've tried some different OPI colors but they tend to be sheer which makes for streaky which drives my nail technician nuts.  Do you know of any company that makes a light pink with a little shimmer that gives great coverage with maybe two coats?  Thanks.

Karla MAC, Illamasqua and Butter London, perhaps

Karla 18246 pts

Shulamit Okay, I can get Butter London in my area and they have a color, Trout Pout, that looks like it may work.  I may also look at Tart with a Heart.  In the MAC arena, I like Saint Germaine.

that one looks like something i might be able to get away w/

Karla Karla check out the color I posted above.  It covered in two coats and has that shimmer you are looking for.

If I were a box of chocolates  I'd be milk chocolate so the contrast on my hand would be milk chocolate with a cherry cream filling.

Brenda55 Okay, that's what I'm looking for.  I'm a a tiny bit lighter than a Hershey bar so that will work for me.  I also saw China Glaze's "Empowerment" and "Something Sweet" which seems like it's enough to coat in two and then top with a sparkle coat.  I'm going to try "Exceptionally Gifted" in two weeks when I get my next mani/pedi.  Thanks for the tip!

Karla I love adding the sparkles. The man who does my nails did them red with red sparkles during the Christmas holidays. Keith loved it so I have been playing around with different color combinations.

Brenda55 I love sparkles as well.  I have quite a few combos that work very well.  Don has always loved the fact that I get my regular mani/pedis, in general.  He and my orthopedist say I have the best looking feet they've ever seen.

Yay, pink! :D

Thanks for posting the different skin tones w/ pink. I've never done the bright baby pink colors but the darker pinks look lovely. Especially the nail polish.

Brenda55 19707 pts moderator

Toni_M Don't be afraid of the brighter pinks.  If you look at your nail beds with out polish you will see that they are a light pink naturally so you may be able to take a color brighter then you think.

 Brenda55 Ah, that's something I haven't thought of. :D

Great pink options. Thank you Tanisha! I never really thought it was a color I could carry off very well; but seeing how great it looks on Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, I gave it a whirl. Rose/light mauve pinks in particular. Glad I did. Adds a another layer of fun feminity. :)

 MyBetterSelf "femininity" ugh typos.
