What in De-Hayell is Wrong with People?

OMG I’m doomed to hell for laughing at this till I peed my pants.

I’m about to take The Babster out this morning to feed the ducks. But before I do, I just had to share a video of one of the most stupidest things I’ve ever seen a person do in my whole life.

What the…who the…why the…? Reports say the woman suffered no serious injury (besides whatever preexisting brain damage she must have had if she thought she and her HoverRound could make it up an escalator, tilting BACKWARDS). If you, like me cried real tears when you watched this, be ready to have your morning coffee shoot through you nose and onto your computer screen when you click here.

For all of you who laughed, we’re all going to hell in a hilarious hand basket.

can't say she was thinking at all...lol.

I bet she sues the company that sold her the chair. The reason? Their ads say your chair can take you ~anywhere~. Why not up an escalator? If there are no disclaimers in the directors for the chair regarding this situation in the directions, I wouldn't be surprised if she has a case. People have sued and won money for stupider things.

Having said that, I can't imagine why any sane person would look at an escalator and think it's something they can just roll up with a motorized chair.

Relax folks… what is important about this is video is that it’s the best evidence yet for why all of us should be forced against our will to pay MORE money for this woman’s healthcare care costs… We should pay more so she doesn’t have to be held accountable for her actions!

But more importantly, to prevent cruel insurance companies from charging her a premium that offsets her higher than average risk of injury.  It would be wrong to charge her higher costs to offset her higher than average risk, just because she is a higher risk and will make more frequent claims!

Now multiply this video by seven million people doing similar things like this… who constantly end up in the emergency rooms of America…  Prayz the lord we have PPACA!  Somehow, it will make treating people like her cheaper…somehow…   and get ready to open your wallets to help people who hurt themselves by doing dumb things.  Oh Yea, that’s how it will be cheaper for her… you will pay…

This video made me laugh because I know she is going to do this again.  Only next time she will break her hip, and both wrist, and be in the hospital for 6 weeks and run up a 200,000 bill… and we are all going to pay for it…again, and again, and again now that is funny!  Then she will collect additional disability!    Still laughing here!

Okay. I laughed. I did. All I could think of was, why? How did she get down there in the first place. Maybe she's one of those people who want to find a reason to sue or maybe it's her own version of a JackAss movie.

WendyLBarber lol!  She's a walking Jackass movie!  XD

Somebody either did not read or chose to ignore the safty tips that Hoverround provides for use of their product.

http://www.hoveround.com/mobility-resources/power-chairs-101/power-wheelchair-safety-tips

Travel outdoors cautiously

A power chair from Hoveround is sturdy enough for outdoor use. If you choose to experience your greater mobility outside, operate your power chair only on flat, smooth-surfaces such as paved pedestrian walks, and avoid heavily trafficked roadways and intersections. Even if you use a safety flag so others can more clearly see you,  it is best never to take your power wheelchair outside when visibility is poor, at night, or during bad weather.

There is no need to be cautious~ If she gets injured, the insurance company NOW… MUST treat her, and cannot raise her premiums based on increased risk factors!  She can sue the company as well… You see her scooter has it has a design flaw!   It should not be able to fit into the escalator!   This is a guarantees payout!

Hmm, I'm not sure about an electric wheelchair, but after some googling I discovered that people do actually go up the escalators in their wheelchairs. This guy has a video showing how he does it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Z5S2xFdRsE . It does take some practice.

That women however walked down the elevator on her own two legs, stood and watched the elevator and then walked away!!

Must have been her first day in a wheelchair-lol.

I hate to diminish your mean girl image, but I don't think the person is disabled.  I saw this video on Tosh.o and she walks away at the end.

Brice Cameron That would make perfect sense, re:Tosh o.

Humm maybe the accident cured her!  I’m going to go push a disabled women down an up escalator and see if she can walk when she gets to the bottom!

5 seconds until someone says...

"I don't even understand why this post was made. I come here for positivity, not to see disabled folks heckled. Where is my positivity da*mnit!?"

To them I say this.  Stupid is as stupid does. Common sense should have told that woman not to try this. I have been in stores where you have escalators and a separate track for your shopping cart.

They have elevators for wheelchairs near by.

Want positivity. OK here goes.

You should POSITIVELY NOT do anything remotely this reckless and stupid..

Jamila 7154 pts moderator

I can only assume that she is mentally retarded. That's pretty much the only reason I can think of that would make her think that going up the escalator would be a good idea. They have elevators specifically for disabled people on the subway, so it's not as if she HAD to take the escalator. If fact, I think she would have to use the elevator to get down there in the first place.

grrlysquirrel75 1121 pts

Jamila She probably didn't want to take the extra few minutes to ride around the corner to the elevator. Even lazy on a Hoveround. In my mama's voice "Lawd, have mercy."

I am ashamed to say that this happened in the Boston area at an MBTA subway station, but you know what, I'm not really surprised.

The Working Home Keeper 6553 pts

Well, the commercial says you can climb the Grand Canyon, so why not an escalator!

I do hope she's okay, though.
