Thanks for sending this along, Rasheda, mi chica! You know this BB&W Crew gal as R. Kamaria, and she just happens to know this blushing bride and passed the news along to me because, perhaps, the Midwest is not the swirling wasteland we make it out to be. Or…is this a couple of special snowflakes? Read the full story here.

I from the "D" and I'm married to the greatest Italian man ever ;0)

Interesting that she met her Swedish beau when she traveled to Thailand to work at an orphanage.  Lovely couple.  I wonder where they'll settle down.

What a handsome coupe in the photo! The guy is super duper cute! And I LOVE her ensemble! Those tights!

But bottom line, swirling can happen anywhere people dare to have common sense!

Of COURSE we do...  Although, I admit, I see a lot less of it in Detroit and a lot more acceptance out toward the Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti area.  Much more common, but then this area is much more liberal.  Not only more common but the reactions that these couples get (I love to watch this) seem to be more of the "isnt that cute" than some of the reactions from the haters.  In the city not as much and some of the "working class" suburbs seem to be a bit more racist.  In Michigan, I have heard that Lansing is a very good area for swirling as well.

 EarthJeff I go to school in Ann Arbor and I agree about greater acceptance of swirling...I haven't seen as many wm/bw couples as say, wm/aw or bm/ww couples, but a) they're certainly not non-existent, b) I haven't been able to go too far off the university campus, and c) I probably haven't been looking hard enough anyway.  (I spend way too much time in the library.)

 Grace80 Well, duh! Haven't you ever heard of Swiss chocolate? lol ;-)

 Christelyn No no you got it wrong :)

Sweden =/= Switzerland :)

Sweden = Ikea, Volvo, blonds and tall handsome men.

Switzerland = Clocks, knives, Nazi gold and chocolate.

But yeah. One of the better datable men in Europe. Better than greasy Italians with no jobs or education!

 Grace80 LOL! I ALWAYS get them confused. Should have been awake more in geography class.

"The 27-year-old students — she's studying psychology at Wayne State University and he's a business major in his native Sweden — met last year in Thailand, where she was volunteering at an orphanage and he was on a fishing vacation."

They didn't meet in the Midwest, but I think this should be an example of a BW getting out of the US and  traveling and while out of the country, meeting her mate.  Really cool!

 purplemoonflower123 yeah but be careful dating international....sometimes when dating over seas they will see an American women and think "Hey free ride to the free world". "Yeah let's get married until I get citizenship than after that i'm out of here"  If you don't believe me ask Stella.  I'm sure she would want her groove back from her gay exhuband. I'm not saying it wouldn't work, just be careful.  Don't play Russian roulette with your time and your heart.  It's not worth it.

 sparel  purplemoonflower123 Well. If you date for example a pakistani then that just might happen. If you date a western european that is very unlikely.
