The Applebee’s Tip Cheat Is The Reason for the U.S. Decline in Religion

I still see that LorMarie’s religion post is still on FIRE, and I’ve largely stayed out of the conversation because one contentious debate a week is about all I can muster these days. But I just had to jump into the conversation when I heard news that a “pastor” wrote on an Applebee’s receipt that she would NOT be giving the server anything, because after all, she gives God 10%, so there was no way in Hell she was gonna give her server 18%?! So, the server posted the receipt online, which of course, went viral. The “minister” was so mortified when she found out about how her nasty receipt comment was posted for all the world to see how cheap she was–and used God as an excuse–that she contacted the restaurant and subsequently got the server fired.

How “Christian” of her.

Now the server has no tip, and no job, thanks to this cheap-ass sanctified, holier-than-thou “minister” who got mad because she her bad behavior got put on blast.

Here’s what the server had to say:

“I had no intention of starting a witch hunt or hurting anyone. I just wanted to share a picture I found interesting,” she said. “I come home exhausted, sore, burnt, dirty and blistered on a good day. And after all that, I can be fired for ‘embarrassing’ someone who directly insults their server on religious grounds.”

And this, my friends, is one of the reasons organized religion has decreased by epic proportions in the United States–self-serving, selfish people who call themselves “ministers of God” so they can seize power and respect they don’t deserve, or use their positions to prey upon the innocent and the gullible. I have seen women like “pastor” Alois Bell my whole life who use religion and the bible to do all sorts of despicable things. I’ve had close relatives abuse me and then attempt to force me to reconcile because if I don’t I’ll go to Hell for not forgiving.

Talk about “shaming,” I am all for this “pastor” being as shamed as she is–I’m loving it. Shame on her for invoking God’s name so she can justify her niggardly behavior. Shame on her for getting this kid fired.

I’ll tell you what–I love Christ, but Christians sure do get on my nerves.

Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw once that said: “Jesus loves you, but everyone else thinks you’re an asshole.”

Yep; pretty much.
