BB&W EXCLUSIVE! Kola Boof Reveals the REAL Reason She Broke Up Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Lee Simmons!

Kola speaks to us and gives the real reason she’s lashed out at Kimora.

Who else saw this one coming: The New York Daily News is reporting that Djimon Hounsou, the lead actor in the film Amistad, and Kimora Lee Simmons, model and ex-wife of entrepreneur Russell Simmons, have broken up–and writer Kola Boof has proudly stated that she is caused the couple to split.

Months ago, Boof began tweeting about the affair she was having with Housou behind his Kimora’s back–but from what Kola says, Kimora knew about everything and said nothing. In a tweet on January 28th, 2012, Kola says, “No, she’s [Kimora] a golddigger. That’s her career. So she puts up with him f*cking “others” cuz it’s like that” and “Yeah…I f*ck that b*tch husband more than she do. And she know it & don’t say sh*t about it. She accepts it.” All the while Kimora and Djimon have been curiously silent while Kola has been tweeting away.

One has to wonder what Kimora did to bring the wrath of Kola Boof raining down from the sky. Well, Kola was kind enough to speak to us and reveal the REAL reason why she continued to sleep with Djimon despite the fact that he was in a very public relationship with Kimora. It all started years ago when Djimon was in a relationship with Kola, and Kola was experiencing some very scary health issues. It was at that time that Kimora started sleeping with Djimon behind Kola’s back. Yep, you got that right, according to Kola, Kimora was the original relationship-wrecker. On the eve of Kola undergoing surgery for brain cancer, Kola says that Kimora came to her and told her point-blank that she had already begun sleeping with Djimon and that by the time the anesthesia wore off from the surgery Kimora would have her man.

They say revenge is a dish best served cold; well, Kola has been serving her revenge to Kimora on ice. Via email, Boof told the Daily News: “I have slept with Djimon Hounsou throughout his marriage to Kimora Lee Simmons,” adding: “I don’t think it’s a secret to people in Los Angeles.” So for the last 4 years Boof admits to sleeping with Hounsou–who has a 3-year-old son named Kenzo with Simmons–out of spite. Furthermore, Boof says she had no feelings for Hounsou and doesn’t intend on sleeping with him again now that he and Simmons are no longer together, although she has nothing but kind things–relatively speaking–to say about Hounsou.

When Boof tweeted about her relationship with Housou in January and February, some people made it known that they just couldn’t believe that a man like Hounsou would be with a woman like Boof behind Kimora’s back. After all, those people thought, Kimora is a light-skinned, long-haired fashion model with a rich ex-husband, what could Boof have on Kimora? Boof felt that the disbelief that some people were expressing when they heard that she was seeing Hounsou was a reflection of their simmering disdain for dark-skinned black women–a flat out refusal to believe that a woman with dark-skin could claim–and keep–the attention, lust, and desire of a man when that same man already had a light-skinned woman on his arm is just too much for some people to accept. In the words of Kola: “I’m making history.”

So yes, Kola slept with Djimon even though he was in a relationship with Kimora, but first Kimora slept with Djimon when he was in a relationship with Kola. And all along, Djimon has been all too happy to be a pawn in the games these two women played to hurt each other.

“It was selfish and ultimately wrong, but I don’t feel bad about it. I wanted vengeance.” says Kola.

Dang...just lost a whole lot of respect for Kola.

Really sis?  If he was a man that she could "take," he ain't a man you need.  Why are you angrier at her than you are at him?

I expected more from her.

well daaaaaaag!

what goes around, comes around...and usually much worse than when it went came around the first time.

Can't see fighting over a man, smh, not for any reason.

POOF be gone, if you want her, have her, I'm gonna be Pontius Pilate and wash my hands and be done with you.

O_o...Is it me or is this article full of gossip and high school pettiness? How does reading this mess enrich black women?

YoFabulous 230 pts

SMH, it always saddens me to see two women going at it instead of looking at the common denominator in this mess - the man they both slept with.  While I think it's wrong to pursue someone who is in a relationship, who knows what Djimon told Kimora in the beginning.  Kola should've been mad at him rather than Kimora. I'm sorry, but I doubt the bedside interaction happened the way she describes at her bedside - going in to life-threatening surgery is a very closed process - they don't just let anyone come see you (at least not at the hospitals I've worked in).

Engaging in revenge sex is stupid and does nothing to enhance her career or her standing publicly.  It reduces her stature to that of a petty girl.  Tweeting about it is even more juvenile - this was never anyone else's business. I agree that success would've been the best revenge.

I don't think anyone but Kola is color struck in this situation.  She made that the issue to deflect attention from the sordid behavior she chose to engage in.  The fact that anyone is arguing about her color versus Kimora's is proof they took the bait.

This woman is delusional. So she spends so much time on twitter claiming she is going to give an official statement with ""shocking evidence" on  Thursday only to release some stupid long letter with no evidence at all. Even your average one night stand groupie has voice mails, texts and even photos, yet you spend so much time with this man but you have no evidence at all, girl bye!I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt but now she has proven she is a deranged woman. Call me when one of these men you spread your legs for puts a ring on it Kola.

Oh yeah, and Kimora is gorgeous to me, say what you will about her but she has walked the runways for Chanel and other high end fashion designer, but this Kola woman unfortunate looking in every way, poor thing!Bless her, I hope she gets help

...F-ed up. Salacious drama nobody needs in their life. I hate when women act like men don't hold any responsibility in their relationship. What about the cheating liar?! Who cares who the other woman was?

Sorry coming to the party late,  Looking at some of the comments, I am just curious to why this is is important?  Some are defending Kola, some are trashing Kimmora, hardly anyone is addressing Djimon's infidelity,  some are targeting the dark skin vs light skin issue of this and everything in between. Here is a woman who has survived some serious obstacles in her life including being the mistress of one of the most hated men on the planet. I think she said it was a forced relationship? to overcome that alone with ones sanity in tact it to be commended. To me to speak of surviving being Osama's mistress, being held against her will and living to tell about it is a way better platform for "boasting" than revenge screwing her ex to get back at a has-been model who taunted her about an affair before she had life threatening surgery (which makes Kimora an a** if it went down that way). If she was going to get even, it should have been directed at Djimon who unless he was in a coma while Kimora was doing him, fully participated in this mess with Kimora. I am inclined to agree with some of those who commented, sounds like a publicity stunt.

am i the only one who seems to not give a shit about these three? Sister got her own problems if they wanna rip each others heads off over a man, that isnt my problem . Look every black woman isnt going to live up to high standards and there isnt much none of us can do. Furthermore no black woman's actions good or bad have no bearing on myself, therefore the only person they are making look bad is themselves.

Wakawaka 101 pts

keeks Y thank you. It's like why should we care what goes on in their lives? Why release some statement? Don't they have phones, emails, lawyers etc to communicate with each other?why put their business in the open for us to all know.

Had I not known that this was a real life situation I would have sworn that this was the plot line of some low rent show. Regardless of how you view things this situation should serve as a warning of how highly educated women can destroy their own reputation over nonsense.

Its very stupid that men aren't as affected with the light vs dark skin BS. Sigh. I will never understand. Shame on both the girls. No one won here.

KingsDaughter 4635 pts

Skayi Actually the Bitter Black Woman,  Slutty Black Woman and Dark-skinned black woman jealous of light-skinned women stereotypes triumphed.

MumPiru 15 pts

KingsDaughter  Skayi The Dark skinned woman took the mixed girl's man. That visual is not escaping public attention no matter how much hatred is hurled at Ms. Boof. I hear many White men saying that they find Boof very attractive and she is beautiful.

MumPiru  SkayiPerhaps this is one of those deep-seated American things because as an African person watching it unfold it's mind boggling. Every party in this mess looks really foolish.

MumPiru  KingsDaughter  Skayi "The Dark skinned woman took the mixed girl's man."

No she didn't. For the past 4 years Djimon slept with Kola but was in a relationship with Kimora, and now that Kimora and he are broken up he isn't going to get into a relationship with Kola--and Kola says even she doesn't want that.

AnInterestedObserver 1029 pts

Meanwhile the Black man who hates dark-skinned Black women showing exactly how much he hates them and the superior, smug "I'm better attitude cause colorstruck Black men say so" attitude of a mixed Black woman FACTS will get completely IGNORED, but hey let's ignore about that and only talk about how "bad" that mean old Kola is, you know how them dark-skinned ones are..............SMH.

Poor poor Djimon!!! Noooooooo!! No poor Djimon. He is the one sticking it to everyone. Gah, i hate when girls do this. What does this man have that is worth losing your dignity?

KingsDaughter 4635 pts

Before these recent events I'd never heard of Kola. It's interesting to read about her life and her writing but unfortunately the way this is playing out she'll be best remembered as the vindictive woman who came up against Kimora. Forget the talent and all that she's accomplished. It's a shame.

MySmile 4172 pts

I'm slightly confused. I know very little about Kola Boof, but honestly, she strikes me as a drama queen. It seems like she would rather have negative attention than no attention at all. All three of them are in the wrong. It's catty and childish to argue with another female over some slimeball while he just sits back and enjoys the ride. I'd be mad at both of them if I was her lol. Kimora has a right to be pissed at Kola too though. Even if she did "take her man", that is not how you get revenge. The best way to get revenge is to live a better life without that person (easier said than done though). I think this particular situation has little to do with colorism but I see how someone could get that from it. I'm not on anybody's side.

MumPiru 15 pts

MySmile Kola's a drama queen compared to Kimora? Uhm. They both seem like twins would be more fair. They even look alike to me. Kola's taller than Kimora and darker. But they have a similar 'type' of look IMO.

MySmile 4172 pts

MumPiru Yeah, they are both drama queens. Kimora always came off as stuck up to me. I was just mainly talking about Kola because she's the one who the article was focusing on (it was from her point of view).

PhillyGirl 187 pts

I kept reading this article thinking it would end in a "GOT YOU"  How sad for all the women involved that either of them felt like the had to resort to such unlady like behavior. I cringe when young woman read this or hear of this and think "yeah, she got what she deserved" We need more female role models in the limelight that are the opposite of this. I feel like a man will do anything slimey because there's always a woman out there rationalizing her behavior in her head just to be with that no-count man. How sad :(

Just as ugly and as disgusting as I thought it would be. SMDH. I am really getting sick and tired of this hatred of dark-skinned Black women/Black women period coming from Blackistan and the mainstream.

About whether or not it justifies Kola's behavior, I am sorry sis but I think it does. I think we are on the same side here, but about this point we are going to have to agree to disaagree sis.

MumPiru 15 pts

AnInterestedObserver  Lady M  PhillyGirl  I also think Kola's behavior is justified. I mean why not? What do black women have to lose at this point? What are we gaining? I'm totally tired of the just do nothing attitude that so called respectable intelligent Black women think will save us. It will not.

AnInterestedObserver 1029 pts

 MumPiru  Lady M  PhillyGirl

Thank you Mum for the back up. And I agree with you 100%, you are perfectly correct, I don't care how many lame stereotypes the anti-Black female haters and those who keep trying to appease them trot out. Both Whites & Blacks worldwide have been exposed to quiet, professional, unassuming, soft-spoken Black women and it makes no difference. They have seen Black female diplomats, opera singers, businesswomen, academians, etc. Does it make any difference? NO, because they simply do not want to give Black women a chance, to reconize your humanity, so you are 100% correct. What is there to lose at this point? If Kola Boof had kept quiet or just said, "I was done wrong by Hounsou & Lee", would she have been treated better on the Black blogs? NO, they STILL would be calling her ugly names and attacking her humanity/giving her NO sympathey because she commited the crime of being born a dark-skinned Black woman. So you are right, Black women might as well start FIGHTING BACK against this garbage, just like other oppressed groups did when the oppression against them finally went over the line.

AnInterestedObserver  PhillyGirl Fair enough. By the way, AIO I'm GLAD that people like you exist out there. Seriously. We don't have enough out there defending dark-skinned black women/girls!! It's just that I don't think that a person's behavior is permissible just because we share the same race/skin color...I mean we SHOULD rise above that kind of nonsense. Let the haters hate as far as I'm concerned.
