Well Jake.  let me explain.

Right now for this brief moment in time Tony Goldwyn = USDA Prime hotness.

There aren't too many women of all ages who would pass up a chance to do him.  True, this too will pass with most of us not getting a shot at the title. But the fantasies are delicious and we ladies are having a great time thinking about this. So let us have our fun.  We will come back up for air shortly.

As a complete Fitz/Tony fan, I'll try to fill you in. Tony just gives of sex appeal and so much more. He's not all about his looks though, but it does help that he looks good. lol.  He supports a lot of amazing causes, like the Innocence Project, which is focused on getting innocent people out of prison. He always tweets out Americares, which gives updates on America sending aid to different countries.

Also, he is very supportive of diversity of black people in Hollywood. He doesn't shy away from discussing racial issues and is very honest about the things he says in regards to Hollywood's lack of diversity. He seems really genuine about it. And as a black woman, it is refreshing to hear a white guy in Hollywood be so supportive. 

He doesn't seem to take himself so seriously, especially for a man coming from a show biz family.  He has a great sense of humor and it comes off in his interviews and tweets. 

About him looking like Kerry's father, he looks older in a more sexy and sophisticated way (which I love) and not older in a pervy way. I generally don't like older men like that, but Mr Tony Goldwyn.......just no words. Shonda knew that he would be perfect for Fitz and she was right. 

 jakethewrestler Hey Jake, I think this is a really good example where other attributes can make a guy more attractive! I had no clue who he was before this show and when I first starting watching, I thought, "meh, he's ok, I wonder why they didn't cast someone more attractive." BUT BOY OH BOY over time! 5) He's in good shape and has an excellent physique, 4) He has a great head of hair (curly and just invites grabbing and playing and holding on), 3) He has a killer walk for a white guy, 2) in certain lighting, he looks very youthful and has a boyish face, hardly any wrinkles for his age...and... 1) CHARISMA! He exudes this sexual chemistry with Kerry on the show which is AMAZING to watch, he's so sensual... from the scene in the Oval where he's rolling up his sleeves and slowly advancing toward her, to one where he's mad and jamming these hiking boots on her to one where he asks her to wait for him and traces his hands down her body.

You can be an average looking guy but be SUPER hot/sexy based on personality, status, physique, etc.

YES dani, you are so right about this. I know we talk a lot about dating older men here. I've shared my story of my story  about having an older man interested in me and how disgusted I was. That guy came off as pervy. 

But Tony owns himself and his age and carries it well. Its really not ONLY about looks, but more about the person he his that has a lot of us women going crazy. LOL.

Heck NO its not just you. He almost has all the women in his fanbase in love with him. He has ruined my life. LOL. And he ruins it more with his tweets. Talking about Fitz's them song is Sex Machine. OMG...he needs to stop. 

He made me die with laughter when someone said that Fitz and Mellie seemed happy in the first epi of the first season. He was like "uhh, what episode were you watching?" 

 BeautyIAM  his tweets are out of pocket! I bet his children (who I believe are grown) are MORTIFIED. And, I'm not entirely convinced he doesn't start drinking at some point during the night, he seems kind of shy/middle aged awkward  IRL but turns into this panther on twitter. So, so funny!

 Diamondz28x2 It's not jusy you. He's 52, I'm 22 so he's exactly 30 years older than I am. I rarely ever crush on actors but this man makes me want to do unholy things to him.

Are you watching Scandal from season 1? It's more rewarding that way.

LOL, agreed!! That's why don't bother reading what other people say because I find myself getting mad. Haha. I just can't deal. Its like people freak out about the little things. Claim they will stop watching the show (as if people care if they stop watching). I just take its a pure escapism entertainment. The characters are all on the same level of "shadyness" so I can't hate one character more than another one. 

So I have to give it up to Shonda and the writers.

No way. I don't want to be pining for a married man. I don't want a stressful job where I have to be on call 247 and cleaning up crime scenes. I don't want her life. I don't even want to be a celebrity. I want the 9-5 job, house, husband, 2 kids, picket (actually hedge) fence, and a cat. Low drama and low stress :)

I am with you.  Don't see what she gets doing the high level mammy/mule/Jezebel thing? Lets face it that is what she is doing.  Liv just has better condo, an off the hook wardrobe and a high end lifestyle. In the end she is pushing forty, living alone with her popcorn, wind and her gay frenemy's shoulder to cry on. Suck to be her.

Not me. Fitz and I would have jetted the first chance we got, shacked up in Rio until the ink was dry on his divorce papers and hope the baby holds off coming until after the wedding.

I wouldn't call her a mammy though. She gets paid a lot to help people, it's her job. There are plenty of jobs where people help others (e.g., doctors, lawyers, police, teachers etc.) some get paid more than others and some are on call 247 like she is. That's too stressful for me but other people seem to really like that sort of thing.

 Brenda55  Elegance I think that the word 'mammy' gets overused on here and some blogs that are associated with BWE. It seems like lately every time a black women gets put into a high-paying, high stress position, or if said woman wants to do something other than let a man handle it for her she gets put in the "Mammy" box. 

It's a brave new world out there. And I see/read plenty of books where young white girls are being groomed to have the important job AND have the husband, kids, and run a non-profit on the side but what are we trying to groom young  black girls for? The lifestyle of a woman of leisure in the 1950's? Nothing wrong with being a stay-at-home mom or living a less stressful lifestyle (normal hours of a job, a relationship that leads to marriage, a couple of kids) but it's also helpful to realize that the "proper" role and behavior expected of women is changing and that our expectations of black girls/women should change too.

I think I am def. in the minority but I like her life... minus being in love w/ a married man. 

I like the fact that she likes her job and likes being a part of something that is "bigger than her."  That is probably why she didn't want to be a part of rigging the election because its desecrating her beliefs and choice of work.  

My opinion may change when I'm older and *possibly* have children but I've never looked forward to the 9-5 life.  Maybe that will change... 

I feel as if I relate to her because I have a tendency to drown myself in work and sometimes BBW.  I'm working on it.  =)  

 Infinity88  Elegance Not me.  Her life is too one edge and manic for my tastes. Sure she is a crisis manager. But you have to have some own time and that is my problem.  She is always ON.

The other problem is concerning the 

White House angle and getting Fitz elected.  What did she get out of the whole deal there. OK she got to play hide the sausage with Fitz but that is an awful lot of drama to go through just to get laid.

I think they played on her emotions about justice and the political system.  I don't think she wanted anything.  I mean she did get to work in White House with him but I don't think that was it.  Her role seemed to be different than the others.  I think she truly believed he should be president and got sucked into it.    

I mean if he didn't get elected he could have left Mellie and they could have been together.
