So I just came back (a little tipsy) from South Coast Winery Resort & Spa, and let me tell you!–it was hard work. All the wine and cheese, wine and chocolate, wine with fruit…lucky for me I just about live down the street and made it home in one piece–thank you so much for your concern.

This place is like the Disneyland of wineries. The setting is TO DIE.

This is the first of a series of vlogs I’m going to do on wine education. Why be educated and just drink the Boone’s Farms? Because knowing wine is very chic and hoity toity. Knowing about wine will allow you to be more comfortable in formal social settings for both work and social gatherings. I don’t know about you, but my country parents knew ZERO about wine (except they knew enough to tell me Night Train was the devil in liquid form, and it is), so I came to my wine knowledge through trial and error, and honestly I’m still learning. That’s why I love this job–I can learn and teach all at once, and all of it is tax deductible.

Another reason you should know wine? Because it’s sophisticated, and rainbeaus definitely notice sophisticated, n’est-ce pas?
