Southern California members of the BB&W crew, if you’re not otherwise occupied with a hot date, you should come join the Los Angeles-area event hosted by my boy, Ricky and Asian Men/Black Women Unite.

It’s a great way to meet “new potential” in a stress-free, laid back way. Online goes mainline, and you can meet some of the folks you’ve been chatting with on that board over ‘yonder. Or you can just have fun and make some friends. Not as exciting, but equally valuable.

The deets:

Saturday Oct 8th, 12 – 5 picnic and touch football…maybe grass volleyball I’ll be providing bbq and Hawaiian food, welcome to bring dessert and drinks and what not. 19501 Inglewood Ave Torrance, CA 90503 Gardena Bowl 6 – 8:30/9 15707 S Vermont Ave Gardena, CA 90247 (310) 324-1244 <http://www.yelp.com/biz/gardena-bowl-gardena>

It sounds like TOO much fun. If I lived in the area, I would be there!

Hey ladies if you have the chance to go...I say go! I would go if I were back the in the states, but currently however I already live in a sea of Koreans =D. You'll find that you'll have a lot in common w/ them. Or you can make good friends, doesn't always have to be about finding the one. Just go with an open heart with no expectations! good luck and keep us posted on how things went.

feel free to call or text for any questions.

forward:

So apparently, the previous event I sent out to everyone was removed because the original AMBW Unite group was changed to AMBW Unite (Closed) where there are less but more contributing members involved.

hence when the old group was deleted, my event was removed as well. I'm sending this out to the people who's had interest in attending.

**If I miss anyone in Southern California, please forward this to them**
...
Most importantly. please keep my cell in handy in case you have questions. thanks!

This event seems really great...I'm glad it's going to be in my area, now if I was single I would be there. But I still had to put the info on my facebook page for all of my black female friends who are interested in expanding their dating arena. :)

Kai! I may come on Sunday, and I's married! You and me could hang out!

In my Charlie Sheen voice "Duh, GOING!!!!" Christelyn, what events are you going to be at? i would love to meet you finally!!

Hey Boo! I'm probably going to the Sunday event...it's (kinda) on the way to my mom's who's having surgery Monday.

Dang wish I could go....oh well..I hope everyone has fun...and by the way..please keep it casual..its always cool to have a variety of good friends...quality over quantity

I want to come out and meet some nice guys. Should I bring something???

Ricky, should Cherry bring anything?

Who exactly are we looking for? Is there a list of people already going? For the sunday outing where exactly are we meeting you? I think you should post more information or the link to that? Thanks

Mora, I am not hosting the event, I'll just probably show up on Sunday lol. Ricky, you should provide these young ladies with more details.

Pity you didn't TWEET this event, and some of the other stuff you're doing. I know most of us here will follow if you follow back; and this puts what you do in the eye of a much larger audience. You never know who's looking at your twitter feed and/or wishing to attend an event like this.

It seems like one more thing to do on top of all you have to, but honestly, for (raising an audience to) something like this, Twitter's even better than Facebook.

theres at least 15 people and at most 30 i believe, christelyn i will have camera equipment and everything :)

Sounds like fun. I hope you have a good turn-out.

too bad i dont live in SoCal! would so come kick it with u Chris, and maybe meet a few asian honeys! LOL! oh well, maybe next time!

Are any of them tall? I like tall Asian men (think Chow Yun Fat) --like many of the Han Chinese, but with structured faces, more Japanese-looking. Best example? Rain, the Korean pop star who starred in Ninja Assassin...(Have YOU seen that face and body? You have? Well, stay away--he's MINE!)

I love the way the really fit Asian males walk i.e, serious Martial artists-- on the balls of their feet--almost weightless, hardly touching the ground, with a body to make you weep...

Ah, well, I live in South Beach. So the mixer is out. But I can say: "Ni-hao, nin jiao shenme mingzi? Wo jiao Valda..."
