As I continue my exploration of cleaner makeup options that actually contain ingredients that can help my skin, give sun protection, and is free of chemicals and fillers, I keep circling back to 100% Pure Cosmetics. Particularly because they have four standout products that I absolutely love, including a foundation and powder that work on brown girls.
Yesterday when I did a video on a separate subject, I decided that I wanted to test the coverage of 100% Pure’s foundation and bronzing powder. But before I started, I used their Luminous Primer–one of their best sellers.
It goes on so gloriously smooth and contains light reflective ingredients that brighten the skin, and actually contains stuff that’s good for your skin, like red wine resveratrol, vitamins and antioxidants to shield from free radical damage.
Ingredients (so clean you could eat it):
Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe Juice) Leaf Extract*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Jojoba Esters (Wax), Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Euphorbia Cerifera Cera (Candelilla Wax) Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Organic Green Tea) Leaf Extract*, Resveratrol, Silica, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Butter, Lonicera Caprifolium Flower and Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Mica
* Certified Organic
Now for the color. I’m surer impressed that this company is creating shades for many hues.

There’s only one real drawback for me with the brand–the eyeshadows. They are much too light for brown skin. I’m honestly confused by this, because they do so well with providing foundations that are complementary. Kind of disappointed that they dropped the ball with their eye shadow collection.
All in all though, this is good stuffl
