I remember when it was announced that David Bowie and Iman were a thing, and that that grew into a marriage. It was the early 90’s, and interracial marriage between black women and white men was virtually unheard of. I consider them one of the pioneers of the movement that encourages black women to find love in whatever package it comes. I know I looked to them for inspiration when I was seriously contemplating a lifetime with The Hubster. So pour the champagne and toast these veteran swirlers, who have paved the way for all of us!
