Pink Pill Christmas Gifts!

Written by Nicole J.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! With Christmas rapidly approaching, the stores all reaching peak crowdedness, and all the big-ticket items sold out or getting there quickly, you might be at a loss as to what to ask for, or give as a gift yourself. In the theme of creative gift giving, and avoiding the crowds, here are some Christmas gifts that you don’t even have to leave your house to buy. And a bonus, some of these gifts have built-in level up capabilities! Read on for some recommendations.

  • The Pink Pill Course

Have you made a new year’s resolution to start the new year and new decade with a theme of leveling up? Well, what better way to embark on that journey than with The Pink Pill, a development course aimed at teaching black women tips and tricks to live well, to the extreme! The Black Friday sale has come and gone, but at $300, for what is included, it’s still a bargain. You can enroll using this link.

  • Self-defense course/gun

This year, the conversations around women staying safe amidst sex traffickers seeking to snatch us up off the street has reached a fever pitch. Unfortunately, since black women often have no first line of defense, it makes a would-be attacker’s attempts a little easier. So, make it harder to be a victim and get enrolled in a few sessions of kickboxing. This is what I have asked for myself, for the record. In addition to having a plan, practicing the moves to get away from a would-be attacker is a good way to keep yourself safe.

Other options could be Krav Maga or other martial arts depending on what is available in your area. You might even be able to get a discount, with gyms offering specials to people who join in the new year. You could ask for the gift of getting your concealed carry permit, and a handy little handgun for safety.

  • A DSLR Camera

This is another item on my wish list this year. I’ve always enjoyed photography, but sometimes, you need a little more pizazz than what a cell phone camera can provide. With the right base, and a good lens or two, you could even take your craft from hobby to full on side hustle!

  • A KsC Course

If you don’t know who Kendall St. Charles is, she is a wise black woman unafraid to tell the truth about EVERYTHING, no holds barred. She pops up on Facebook for free every now and then (The Blue Goddess Group Social Media Page). But the real work happens behind closed doors. She will be releasing more modules in the new year, and if that’s something you have been eyeing up for quite some time, you’ll have to get on her email list to find out more. Additionally, she will be selling some of her previous recordings later this month. However, she has very strict rules that need to be followed if you choose to join, so make sure you’re in the right frame of mind to get in on it. Additionally, Kendall’s wisdom is meant for black women only, so bear that in mind as well.

  • Gym membership

If getting in shape is on your list of New Year’s resolutions, then a gift of a gym membership is a great way to start. It could be a regular gym, a la Planet Fitness, or specialty gyms like CrossFit, pole fitness, barre, or yoga. Whichever way you choose, giving or receiving the gift of fitness is a good first step.

  • A course of some sort

Say you’ve asked for the above mentioned DSLR camera. Photography isn’t as easy as just pointing and shooting, and it may take a little more than YouTube tutorials to get the ball rolling. Why not ask for a course that will level you up? This could be photography related, as an example. If not, something in first aid, or some other side-hustle enabling certification could do well too. Into hair and makeup? Maybe get a course on those to monetize a skill you’re already good at. If your profession has additional qualifications you can get to move up the ladder, you could ask for the price of the exam as your gift.

These are only some ideas that you could ask to have under the tree in a few weeks. What are you hoping Santa brings down the chimney this year? Share your ideas in the comments below!
