Tanisha: Fiercely Fabulous Friday-June Ambrose GTL

Happy Friday BB&W crew. To continue on my quest to make you ladies a wee bit more fabulous than you already are, I am bringing you the Trend Alert of the Week. Denim! Yes Denim. Ok so denim is always at the top of the list EVERY season however, this season denim is getting a face lift and it won’t be hard on your pockets.

Celebrity stylist June Ambrose is amazing when it comes to styling starlets every where but that talent does not stop with them, the girl is always seen being fierce. How does she do it? She is not afraid of pushing the envelope, mixing colors, pieces, styles. She is open to falling on her face but most often she does not because she wears clothes that make her feel fabulous!

The other awesome thing about June is that she sets fashion trends, she doesn’t just follow them. Here’s one of her looks where she mixes two tones of denim. And I being the fab person that I am, have created a similar look that won’t destroy your credit card or wallet.

Here are a few other ways to wear denim this spring and summer:

Tie Dye Denim

This blast from our 80s past is back and badder than ever. Pairing it with a bright colored boyfriend blazer–you can roll up the sleeves for warmer days– is oh so chic and fresh. And Bonus! You can create these jeans with an old pair hanging in your closet, a plastic bag and some bleach. Have at it.

Denim Pencil Skirt
A new twist on a classic trend, a high waisted denim pencil skirt coupled with a bright colored floral print shirt and chambray blazer. Pair it with these flats or wedges and rock the runway, errmm, sidewalk.

Chambray Tie Front with Polkadots
Chambray, the bastard child of denim, ok the softer lighter version of it is hot hot hot hot..well in this case cooler than denim. Tie front midriff bearing shirts, a child of the 50s along with its polkadot best friend has made a comeback this season. Bringing carefree fun and flirtation along for the ride. Combining stripes and polkadot is trés chic!
