Love it! I’m a Barbie collector so…
Chris, you’re a genius! Love the concept (and the sight of that “drink” in the sand had me in stitches!).
@ASwirlGirl LOL it was a team effort. LOL…that sounds funny. We seriously had a production team to make this.
@ASwirlGirl The spilled drink on the ground was funny….. actually whole thing was funny…
@EarthJeff It looked like the spilled “drink” was the exact Barbie size. I don’t why, but that was HILARIOUS to me!
Adorable. This brought a smile to my face.
Will the book be available on Kindle too?
Oh my God, that was so cute.
Oh, how cute!!! Great Actors. I believe they are known world wide…LOL
@Morenika lol ha ha
Bringing back those memories as a little girl playing with my Barbie dolls. Too cute.
I LOVED my Black Barbies growing up!
@BlackWomenDeserveBetter I still remember my first Black Barbie – it was the Peaches N Cream Barbie!
Wow, busted the budget on that one…….. Right on par with the awesome Super Bowl Doritos commercial with the dog who gets cats and bribes the guy…. ” You didnt see Nuthin” note on the bag of Doritos. I heard that he made that commercial for under $ 40.
Diggin’ on the piano music in this, too…..
That was super cute!
OK, confession time. I didnt have any black Barbies growing up. Didnt have any white Barbies either. I had a GI Joe. The real one, the one that was the size of Barbies… (Hmmmm, competition for Ken? and wasnt Skipper brought out for when Ken wanted to play around? Men can be such dirtbags). JUST one GI Joe, so he was lonely. Girls play with their dolls pairing up. Boys dont think like that.
@EarthJeff I didn’t have Barbies either…Had a river,mud, bicycle tires, coconut trees,fruit to steal errr pick
@EarthJeff As a matter of fact my black Barbie’s love inerest was a GI Joe, of course he was white.
@EarthJeff As a matter of fact my black Barbie’s love interest was a GI Joe, of course he was white.
@reem11 @EarthJeff Nice. An Enlightened GI Joe. Usually they were mostly concerned with storming that next beach.
@EarthJeff @reem11 Yes, as my Barbie’s soldier boy was sometimes away at any given port or foreign shore.
@reem11 @EarthJeff Men….. geez… cant live with them, cant live without them….
@reem11 Mine too! Of course, I liked GI Joe because he could move into positions Ken could never imagine…
@Karla Yep, you got that right.
@Karla @reem11 Ewwwww,,, TMI….
@EarthJeff Get your mind out of the gutter! I was just a kid! I’m talking about stuff like he could carry Barbie across the threshold or wrap his arms around her.
@EarthJeff Um, Skipper was Barbie’s prepubescent little sister. Ken would go to jail for “playing around” with her. Well, maybe not, since he didn’t have any private parts and, for that matter, neither did Skipper. But still…
I have to say that as a Biology teacher I am very disconcerted at the non-educational value of non-anatomically correct dolls. Maybe if they were, we would have less children “playing doctor” and curiously comparing…
@EarthJeff I doubt it.
Hilarious video. Is it just me or does that Ken doll kind of look like Adam Lambert after a makeunder? lol.
@R. Kamaria It is just you. No, seriously, who is Adam Lambert?
@EarthJeff He was a runner up in American Idol. He’s the second openly gay Idol success story!
@EarthJeff He was a runner up on American Idol. One of the show’s openly gay contestants. That Ken looks like him. He’s the queen of glampop. lol
Were any actual Barbies harmed during the production of this film?
I love it!
I love the silent film! Did he full body check her out by the camera panning on slow mo? Barbie looks like a real black woman, not a choco covered white one, I love her! The ending was adorable!
