Yay! After 285 days of sitting on an egg like a hen, Camille Barnett, wife to comedian and columnist of The Coil Review, welcome Ivan Jacob Barnett, born August 22, 2011. You remember Alex and Camille, don’t you?

I wrote about how Alex and Camille met online a while ago, check here. I talked to Alex on the horn yesterday and he sounded so tired–he’d been awaked for two straight days. I think he’s still in the shock-and-awe stage of new fatherhood, when he thinks if he holds the baby wrong his neck will break.

Don’t worry, Alex. Just use your forearm and the palm of your hand to serve as a surrogate spine until Ivan gets less floppy.
