I have always, ALWAYS been for the kids, ya’ll. And I just discovered a video of a child…A BABY IN DIAPERS being called a “bitch ass n*gga” by his mother and uncle.
And believe it or not, the police union posted this video and instead of sticking a booted foot in the asses of the adults (not) raising this child, the GAT-DL is crying foul, saying THEY were in the wrong. My God. What world do we live in when the people who should be to blame are not blamed, and the people or organizations pointing out the wrongs are the evil doers?
Thugs are not born, they are raised in a cycle of dysfunction that is CELEBRATED by the group. Yes…CELEBRATED. And the cycle continues because respectable black folks act as apologists for the behavior and work to police any critics of this “precious” underclass. This folks, is why we can’t get ahead, and why I wrote about it here.
I have absolutely no problem at all with the police posting this video. Evil should be brought to the light so it can no longer be denied. But I’m assuming the outcry is because the union wants to call attention to what sort of fuckery they are up against.
A statement from the Omaha Police Union:
“…despite the fact that it is sickening, heartbreaking footage, we have an obligation to share it to continue to educate the law-abiding public about the terrible cycle of violence and thuggery that some young innocent children find themselves helplessly trapped in. Now while we didn’t see anything in this video that is blatantly ‘illegal’, we sure did see a lot that is flat-out immoral and completely unhealthy for this little child from a healthy upbringing standpoint.”
I’m watching CNN right now and an African American female talking head is asking why it was necessary to show the video, and said, “Clearly these parents need help. Why didn’t they call a social worker?” and then went on to suggest the police union released the video as revenge or some vendetta against the community.
Why can’t we see that coddling and making excuses for deplorable behavior keeps us losing? The doctrine of victimology is crippling us because so many in the community think treating grown folks like brain-damaged babies is somehow more humane.
How can a child raised in such conditions expect to be anything other than what poison is put into him? This child is doomed, and all the bleeding hearts are pointing their fingers in the wrong direction. Damaged Beyond Repair (DBR) is not born, it is cultivated and nurtured and protected by people who have the power to make a change but find it much easier to just blame ‘Whitey,’ poverty, racism, classism and any other external factor besides lack of personal responsibility. You can’t expect a boy to grow up to be a quality, marriageable man when you feed poison into him daily. You can’t expect a baby girl to grow up and be a good and loving mother when you feed her portion of the poison. No one is going to fix this for us. No one is coming to save us. If we as a community refuse to denounce these behaviors and shame, YES SHAME the adults who are abusing these children then we are doomed.
Shame doesn’t work, you say?
So how’s coddling working out for us?
We might as well just call it like it is: these ill-equipped parents are simply housing a new crop of slaves for the prison system.
