My name is Jewel Barnett. I was born in Pennsylvania. I moved a lot as a child due to my mother’s job(mainly Michigan and Texas). I have a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Education from Wayland Baptist University. I have taught a variety of grades for the past eight years.

I have taught in Texas, Korea, and Alaska. I am currently working with international college students. My goals are to help my students learn more about the United States and to give them the tools that they need to achieve. I hope to one day become a personal trainer and a yoga instructor. How would I describe myself, I am caring, a good listener, and I love to laugh.

I love learning about other cultures and am always ready to travel. I enjoy working out and currently am training for my first marathon(I finished my first half marathon last November). What am I looking for, I am looking for someone who is honest, hard-working, loves to laugh, and is kind to others.

Find and friend Jewel here.

Thank you for very great post. I like it.

Thank you so much Super Saiyan, knockoutchick, and Jessica(its actually not a twistout, just my regular strands-I just wash and go with conditioner, gel, and mousse).

Thanks for all of your encouragement!
Hope you are all having a great day!

Once again ... antoher goddess that only needs a spotlight before she is quickly snatched up.

What an impressive list of personal and professional accomplishments.

I love the twist out (?) in the main photo. Best of luck to this beauty!

Your close up is so beautiful and full of light!

Hi, Jewel! \o

It's really awesome that you're working with students from around the world. It sounds like a lot of fun.

I love the idea of being able to teach abroad. It's something that I've considered doing after I finish my master's...but as I've never been abroad before, I'm a little (okay, very) nervous at the thought. Do you have any advice? :)

(Also, I'm gonna be shallow for a minute and ask what shade of lip gloss you're wearing in your pic because I really like it. :D)

Hey Toni! Yeah, I am the lip gloss queen lol. In that pic I used a Rimmel gloss and the shade is Berry Bliss 245. I always use a chapstick or moisture base of some kind. Sometimes I wear two different glosses to make my lips pop.
Well, if you want to teach abroad check out Dave's ESL Cafe. You can post your resume and schools will contact you. There are message boards as well. Just take out a map and think about where you want to go. Go for it.
Best of luck! You can also email me for more info.

Thanks, I really appreciate the info. I've actually not heard of Dave's ESL Cafe, but it's something I'll be sure to check out.

In addition to getting my hands on the lip gloss. *.*

Thanks David and John! John, which campus did you graduate from?

Hi Jewel, I graduated from the Cannon AFB campus.

Hey John! That's really cool. I graduated from the San Antonio campus. I hope you are having a great day!
Thanks to Super Saiyan, knockoutchick, and Jessica for the encouragement. I am too lazy to do a twistout, so I just wash and go with the help of conditioner, gel, and mousse :)

You have a wonderful smile beyond the obvious that your attractive. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to comment on a fellow WBU alum (MBA 2000).

Alright JEWEL!!!!! Glad to see you as Goddess of the Week. Go ahead and get yours. For all the fellas, she's a very cool and laid back woman. Can't go wrong with her.
