BB&W New Advertiser + New Site to Check Out!

I swear, I love my job so much I’d do it for free.

That is, if I didn’t have to eat, dress four kids and buy toilet paper.

So I’m REALLY excited Beyond Black & White has advertisers. One in particular, BlackWhiteCupid.com, is a site that (obviously) caters to people interested in black/white interracial relationships.

You know what I like best about them? Maggie, the site owner, did her research on this blog and wanted to ESPECIALLY reach you all. That makes it personal–it’s not like some bot out there is searching for a handful of keywords and phrases to get you to join some amorphous blob of random users.

“Okay, they’re not the most glamorous of web designs, but they do everything the user needs. Your profile isn’t about masses of glitz and drum beats, it’s about you. BlackwhiteCupid asks all the right questions and presents your information in an accessible way. It cuts out the nonsense and delivers a profile which gives a user the information they need to advertise themself, the space for their uniqueness to shine and a bounty of photographs for others to peruse,” Maggie says.

And what of unwanted attention? BlackWhiteCupid.com has taken care of that, too. “If the user does not want to receive someone’s email or instant message, you can add the user to blacklists. Then, you will not receive the user’s email or instant message. Meanwhile, that user is unable to view your photo(s) and profile or comment on your blog. To prevent an offensive or annoying person from contacting you, click the “Add to blacklists” button when reading that user’s email. You can also block that user at “More info” page on his/her profile. We pride ourselves with our friendly site and customer support, to ensure you receive the best service possible. Every user should comply with our guidelines, which forbids any abusive or offensive postings.”

So what are you waiting for? Check it out here, and give me an honest assessment of what you think. I want to keep the ads honest, and mutually beneficial.

And THIS may be really interesting…ever heard of “romantic networking?” That’s what my pal, Ama Karikari-Yawson is conjuring up over at Loveessence.

I asked Ama to give us the skinny:

What is Loveessence?
Loveessence is a romantic networking site for black women who are ready for love and all men who are ready to love them in return. It can be found at https://www.loveessence.com/. The name of the site is loveessence because the premise of the online network is to inspire people to ask themselves one essential question: what kind of love do you want? Once you answer that question and determine that you want a love that consists of intellectual stimulation, sexual ecstasy, genuine friendship and or shared faith then all other issues become less relevant. You will want to be with the man or woman who can give you that kind of love, regardless of his or her race, skin tone, ethnicity or occupation.

What inspired you to create Loveessence?
I was just sick and tired of all of the negative publicity surrounding black women’s relationships and marriage prospects. Every time I turned around there was another study saying that black women were doomed to be alone and that black women were the least desirable. BS! Black women are gorgeous and men are not blind. I’m a black woman and I’m not alone. I’m happily married and most of my black girlfriends are happily married. We all found men of various races and backgrounds who love us and respect us and I believe that love is out there for all other black women who are interested in finding genuine love. I wanted to demonstrate that black women have a wealth of romantic prospects.

What differentiates Loveessence from its competitors.
Loveessence is more than a website, it is a movement. It is a movement celebrate the unique beauty and brilliance of black women. It is a movement to inspire black women and all the men who appreciate them to get to love’s essence. That means leaving all of the baggage behind and asking yourself “what kind of love do I want?”. Once you have answered that question you open yourself up to all of the wonderful members of the opposite sex who can provide that love and the person’s race, complexion, ethnicity, height, salary, etc becomes irrelevant. To that end, Loveessence asks its users thought-provoking questions about their deepest aspirations when it comes to love.

Further, most other dating sites are either interracial or black only. Loveessence focuses on black women and ALL men regardless of race are encouraged to join.

How do you use it?
Loveessence is easy to use. You just go to https://www.loveessence.com and fill out a thought-provoking questionnaire about the type of love that you want. You post your photo and then begin to use it like traditional social networking sites.

How much does it cost?
It is completely free. [FREE?! We LOVE FREE!!] We may launch premium services in the future which will have a cost. But for now, the basic services of email and instant chat are completely free.
